Registration

The registration desk will be open at Admiral Perry’s Room in Hotel New Grand on 23 July, 17:00-20:00, and at Yokohama Symposia on 24-26 July, 8:30-17:00. Food and beverage fees at on-site registration should be paid in cash or by a credit card (VISA, Master Card, or Diners Club) in Japanese Yen. Bank drafts, personal and traveler's checks, and bank transfers will not be accepted. We recommend your early registration by e-mail or fax to save your time at the symposium (See 2nd circular).

Registration as a student is only possible with a certificate from your university/institute attached to the registration form. If the registration form is not accompanied by proof of student status, the normal fee will be applied.

Proceedings

All authors are kindly requested to prepare their manuscript for the proceedings (up to 8 pages on A4 sheets) electronically in the format similar to that of the extended abstract (instructed on our web site), and submit via 3.5-inch floppy disk or CD-ROM together with the hard copy at the registration desk.

Instructions for chairpersons and speakers

1.      Please enter the following information on the attached sheet and send it to the Local Organizing Committee of ISI2001 (nylab@chemenv.titech.ac.jp) in advance (preferable) or submit at the registration desk.

- For introduction by the chairperson

·          Speaker's name, affiliation.

·          Brief self-introduction of the speaker (personal history, research area, etc.).

- For preparation by LOC

·          Visual equipment required

We can only afford one overhead projector (transparency) and one personal computer (Windows/Power Point) with projector. If you use PC, please convert your electronic files into appropriate formats and save them onto a 3.5” floppy disk, CD-ROM, or MO disk. Please submit your media at the registration desk in advance.

 

2.      If you use a PC with projector, landscape style is suggested.

 

3.      The time allotted for the four guest lecturers is 50 minutes, including discussion of 10 minutes. And that for the other speakers is 25 minutes, including discussion of 5 minutes.

Information for poster presentations

Poster authors are kindly requested to be at their posters for discussion with interested participants during the relevant poster session, as indicated in the symposium program. Text and presentation should be in English.

The size of the board for a poster is 900 mm in width and 2100 mm in height. Please display your posters from the morning of 24th through the morning of 26th and clear them by 13:00 on 26th. Stationery will be provided in the session rooms.
